Bernice Venuto was born and raised in New Mexico, where she earned her B.S. in Sign Language Interpreting from the University of New Mexico in 2009. After building her career as a freelance interpreter, she relocated to Richmond, Virginia, where she expanded her role to include teaching and mentoring at Reynolds Community College and Mosaic Interpreting Services.

When she's not interpreting or mentoring, Bernice enjoys exploring Richmond's Church Hill neighborhood with her husband Paul and their two dogs, Egg and Spooky. The couple shares a passion for traveling, cooking, solving escape rooms, and hosting game nights with friends.
