CJ was born and raised in the rainy PNW (Portland, OR). Their first language is ASL as their parents are both Deaf. In 2015 they received their Associates Degree in Sign Language Interpretation from Portland Community College before transferring to Gallaudet University, receiving their Bachelor's Degree. Currently, CJ has national interpreting certification (NIC) and Oregon healthcare interpreter certification (OHIC), while working in predominantly medical and mental health settings. 

When they aren't interpreting, you can find CJ spending time with their incredible wife, Shawna, and two pups, Lloyd and Pippen. Like the true Oregonian that they are- they love hiking, camping and being in water. CJ enjoys an early night in with their Kindle and tea, and is affectionately called a cookie monster with the amount of cookie dough they tend to eat!
